Start with where your meetings are

The working week in Israel runs from Sunday to Thursday, and Sunday is a full working day. Standard office hours run from about 08:00 or 09:00 to 17:00 or 18:00. Many businesses close from Friday afternoon until Saturday night, and trains to and from the airport stop for Shabbat, from Friday until Saturday evening. If you fly on a Friday, check the Israel Railways timetable or plan a taxi. Then map your appointments: the towers around Azrieli and Sarona, the streets around Rothschild Boulevard, or the technology district of Herzliya Pituach, north of the city. A beachfront hotel can still work for an Azrieli meeting if you plan the journey, because traffic often decides more than distance.
Conferences for 1,000 guests and more: Hilton and InterContinental David

For a conference, product launch or gala dinner, start with these two waterfront hotels. Hilton Tel Aviv lists 23 meeting rooms and 4,724 m² of event space. Its Grand Ballroom covers 1,112 m² and takes up to 1,300 guests for a reception. The hotel says the pillarless ballroom is naturally lit through floor-to-ceiling windows, that its foyer looks out to sea, and that it keeps kosher under the Tel Aviv Rabbinate. The InterContinental David describes 25 venues, including two ballrooms, across more than 3,500 m², with theatre seating for up to 2,200 guests. Among them are eleven private boardrooms, which the hotel describes with natural daylight and views of the Mediterranean.
A few hundred guests by the sea: David Kempinski, Dan Tel Aviv and Carlton

For a seminar, client dinner or launch of a few hundred guests, compare three beachfront hotels. The David Kempinski describes 1,200 m² of event space, including a 776 m² Grand Ballroom and five boardrooms for 12 to 18 guests. Its own venue pages list the ballroom, foyer and boardrooms without daylight, so ask about breaks and lighting for a long day. Dan Tel Aviv lists four halls; the largest, the 300 m² King David Hall, seats up to 380 theatre-style. The Carlton hosts events for 10 to 300 guests, with seminar rooms in classroom, theatre or U-shape layouts and sea or city views depending on the room.
Mid-size meetings on the promenade: Sheraton Grand and Royal Beach

For workshops and team meetings of up to about 200 people, compare these two hotels on the promenade. At Sheraton Grand Tel Aviv the largest room, the Grand Hall, seats up to 230 theatre-style, and a set of smaller Studio rooms suits small meetings. The hotel states that all its meeting rooms have natural daylight and that its event cuisine is fully kosher. Royal Beach Tel Aviv has two halls, Yam and Galim, with 460 m² between them; Yam seats up to 200 theatre-style. Its events page lists smaller rooms for 10 to 22 people. Three of them are on the 18th and 19th executive floors and are reserved for Executive Floor guests by prior booking. Those floors and their business lounge, which opens onto a sea-view terrace, are for guests aged 18 and over.
Meetings in historic buildings: The Norman and The Setai

For a board meeting, an investor dinner or a small workshop, two hotels in restored historic buildings offer a different setting from the towers. At The Norman, near Rothschild Boulevard, the boardroom accommodates up to 16 and has a 70-inch screen with audio or video conferencing. It is reached by stairs, so check access for your group. The Conservatory takes up to 30 seated in daylight, and the Tower Garden up to 60 seated. The Setai, on Jaffa’s Clock Square, offers meeting rooms and halls for 12 to 120 participants; the largest is the Hadarim Hall, for up to 120. Meeting rooms can be hired for a half day, 08:00 to 13:00, or a full day, 08:00 to 17:00.
Meetings in Herzliya Pituach: Publica and Dan Accadia

If your meetings are with technology companies in Herzliya Pituach, staying there saves the drive from Tel Aviv. Publica Isrotel, in the business district, has a 6th-floor co-working space for its guests that is open around the clock. It also has two meeting rooms for up to 12 people each, available from 10:00 to 14:00 for a fee, and the STAGE hall for up to 100 seated. The hotel states that it does not hold a kosher certificate. Dan Accadia, on the cliff above the beach, lists seven event spaces. The largest, the Alexandria hall, covers 375 m² and seats 300 theatre-style, and the business lounge is included for Garden Chalet and suite guests aged 18 and over.
Before you book a meeting room

Ask for the capacity in the layout you need: the same room can hold far more people at a standing reception than at a seated dinner. Confirm daylight, screens and video-conferencing equipment, and whether the quoted price includes them. Executive and business lounges are usually tied to the room category or rate, and several of these hotels set a minimum age of 16 or 18 for them. If your group needs halal food, ask the events team whether halal-certified catering can be arranged: kosher certification, which several of these hotels state, is a different standard. Finally, ask for the room, layout, menu and cancellation terms in writing.
