The UAE Ministry of Finance’s 27 September update gives larger businesses two separate eInvoicing milestones. Entities covered by the system with annual revenue of AED50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 30 October 2026. The ministry says mandatory implementation for that group remains scheduled for 1 January 2027.

The update followed an awareness event in Ras Al Khaimah. According to the ministry, the pilot launched in July and the five-corner model is operational for testing invoice exchange and tax-data reporting. This is an implementation update, not the announcement of a new universal deadline for every business.
For companies and software suppliers preparing UAE operations, the practical distinction is between choosing a provider and completing integration. A provider appointment alone does not demonstrate that invoice exchange works. Teams can use the pilot to check their data and workflows with the selected provider; the scope and timetable should be checked against the ministry’s current guidance for the particular business.
