Eilat / EILAT / HOLIDAY BASE

Yam Suf

Coral Beach area

The experience

Choose the Coral Beach side when the reef and marine activities lead the holiday. The operator describes a diving centre and pools, which should be checked against the exact activity and skill level you need. Compare the route to the nature reserve’s actual visitor entrance. North Beach evenings require transport rather than an assumed short stroll.

Yam Suf sits on Eilat’s southern coast at Coral Beach, hidden away, in Isrotel’s words, from the bustle of the city. Isrotel places it right next to the Coral Beach Nature Reserve and just a couple of minutes from the Underwater Observatory, with views of the Edom Mountains and the bay. The hotel is spread across three wings – the main building, a suites wing and a gardens wing – arranged around a large central complex of pools and gardens.

The sea sets the pace here. The hotel maintains a beach on Coral Beach, about two minutes away, where loungers and umbrellas are free for guests, and the Manta Isrotel Diving Center at the hotel runs introductory dives, guided snorkelling and courses for beginners and advanced divers. Back on land, Marche serves breakfast and dinner in a market-style hall with a balcony over the pool, and the Esprit Spa has five treatment rooms on the pool level.

A good fit for

  • Divers and snorkellers who want a dive centre at the hotel and the Coral Beach Nature Reserve next door.
  • Travellers looking for a quieter base away from the bustle of the city.
  • Families: there is a children’s pool, the Kiddos Club and, in July and August, summer activities that include diving camps.
  • Guests who prefer plant-based meals, as Marche’s published menus include vegan dishes.
